Sauntina LaVerle

The Staddon family

Our little daughter, Sauntina LaVerle, has arrived!  Kendalyn was in intense labor for about 5 hours and had our little girl a few hours before her mother arrived from Alberta, Canada (who was on her way down to help with the birth! <g>).

Our neighbors helped us inflate and fill a tub for the water birth, and a dear lady from down the street stayed with Kendalyn the entire time since our midwife hadn’t arrived yet.  Sauntina didn’t want to wait for the midwife and came 2 minutes before she arrived and into the arms of her father, who scooped her up and praised the Lord for a safe delivery with no complications.

We are blessed with a beautiful little family! Mother and baby are recovering slowly, but well.  Thank you for your prayers!

May the Lord’s richest blessings be upon you as you raise her in the fear and admonish of the Lord. You will be in my prayers.

  19. Hi, It was good to hear that your little one has arrived. I came back from FL Thurs. evening., the 10th. This is the first time I’ve opened up the e-mails for review. So glad all went well. In 40 years of teaching I’ve never had a Sauntina for a student’s name. Is there a special meaning to the name? Did the name come out of your head or was it in a book or someone you knew? Just wondering. I’m not even certain that I am pronouncing it correctly. Oh well, those lessons can come later. Please let me know when the princess can be visited! Katherine

  20. How wonderful! She’s absolutely beautiful. I had sent an email earlier today saying I hadn’t checked your most recent post. Glad I did! Congratulations to you both. What a darling thing our heavenly father knitted for you 🙂 My 4 year old saw the picture and said, “she’s so cute and precious” 🙂

  21. Congratulations Robert and Kendalyn on the birth of your precious baby girl!

Kendalyn what a brave, strong Godly young lady you are – and Robert, your actions before and during the birth are wonderful examples of a loving husband and father-to-be. It’s very evident that both of you are “totally dependent” on The Lord Jesus Christ – in “all” situations and circumstances. Praise God, He promises to never leave nor forsake His children – and He definitely keeps His Word as is evidenced in this story.

My prayer for Sauntina (and all the children in the day and age in which we live) is that they will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour – at a very early age – and that they will be mighty warriors for God, His Kingdom and the Gospel – in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
