Getting ready for Christmas!

With Canadian Thanksgiving behind us, and some vacation plans in the near future, we decided to decorate early so we could enjoy the wonderful Christmas traditions and joys… and watch our little girl experience these delights here at home. So up went the tree this weekend while Marilee watched from the couch! It was so much fun to see the awe and wonder on Sauntina’s face as she saw the Christmas lights on the tree and snowflakes on windows and mirrors!

Katherine came to visit for the week, bearing delicious apples from Michigan to freeze for pies and crisps during the winter!

  1. The wonder and awe of children as they see the
lights, help decorate the tree, etc. reminds me
of the awe and wonder we as “children” of God
should always have for HIM! May we never lose
that (no matter what our age) in Jesus’ Name.

One of the best pictures I’ve seen of Marilee!
    Thanks for sharing.

    • Amen! That’s what I love most about having children…the chance to be reminded often of how much the Lord has sacrificed for us and how He delights in us just as we are, just as we delight in our children as they are!

  2. More sweet pictures. I love staring @ decorated trees, too, so I can completely understand Sauntina’s fascination. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. I love that last pictue of Sauntina looking up that the Christmas tree. So cute! ๐Ÿ™‚
Merry Christmas and Happy (belated) Thanksgiving! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. You captured the Christmas spirit Kendalyn! That is quite a picture of Sauntina looking up at the tree. Lights, guests, children … reflecting the reason for the season brightly.
